Kidney Pain – Doctor and Condition
Kidney pain is also referred to as renal pain, and is often pain from an injury to, or a condition with, a kidney. Kidney pain may be a dull ache or discomfort on one side of your upper abdomen, or possibly on your side or your back, but lots of issues can cause similar pain or discomfort, so your pain may not be related to your kidneys. The kidneys are located in the back of your abdomen under your lower ribs, with one being on each side of your body. Typically, most kidney pain affects only one kidney.
